Antiguos Cafés de Madrid e Isabel Ramos, de la web Callejeartemadrid, visitamos hoy El Capricho, maravilloso parque situado en la Alameda de Osuna en #Madrid. El Capricho es un jardín neoclásico cargado de historia que comenzó a levantarse en el año 1789 por la duquesa de Osuna, Josefa Alonsa de la Soledad Pimentel. A lo largo del tiempo su evolución traería nuevas edificaciones y utilidades curiosas, modernas construcciones que lo convertirían no sólo en un bello lugar de recreo, sino también en un espacio fructífero propio de la Ilustración. A lo largo de los cincuenta y dos años que tardó en ser edificado El Capricho iría conformando su paisaje, además de con su espléndido palacio, mediante singulares jardines que no aportaban únicamente belleza. Árboles frutales, huertos, olivos y hasta una construcción específicamente dedicada a las abejas en la que se podía estudiar el comportamiento de los insectos y de la que se obtenía abundante miel. Numerosos estanques y también una ría navegable con su embarcadero discurren entre un fortín con cañones para el juego de los niños, el casino de baile, la casa de la vieja, una ermita con su correspondiente ermitaño, que allí falleció y fue enterrado o el primer puente de hierro que se construyó en España. Quizá alguien se pregunte de dónde viene el tan singular nombre de #ElCapricho con el que se conoce a este precioso jardín. La respuesta está en este interesante vídeo que aquí presentamos.
