Join us for a jam-packed EV road trip to WinStar Casino in Oklahoma! 🎰 What started with sweet Czech Stop kolaches 🍓 quickly turned into a journey full of great food, roadside finds… and one very disappointing hotel experience. 😬 We made stops at some of our favorite places, like a BBQ truck stop and the famous Meat Church BBQ Supply store (wish Matt Pittman had been there!). We wrapped things up with a visit to Robertson’s Hams & Jerky on the way home. 🍖 But let’s talk about that hotel… Our stay at Embassy Suites in Dallas was nothing short of a letdown. From the muggy, marijuana-scented underground parking garage to the moldy-smelling room with a broken toilet, it felt more like a cheap motel than a Hilton-branded hotel. 😷 The hallways were hot and humid, the tiny bathtub was barely usable, and there was exactly one luggage cart for the entire hotel (noisy as all get-out, too). Oh—and let’s just say the late-night elevator crowd didn’t exactly scream “family-friendly.” 👀 We tried to address the issues, but the staff offered no solutions and gave us a shrug on checkout. All this for about $90/night — and somehow, it still wasn’t worth it.
